The Editors of The Bent are frequently searching for well- written, general interest feature articles for the magazine. Many of you have the appropriate experience, are qualified, and capable of preparing such a feature.

Subscribe to The Bent
A life subscription performs three functions: it pays production costs of The Bent, finances student loans, and supports the Fellowship Program, which has provided more than $8,300,000 to 1,760+ stipend recipients. When a subscriber dies, the fee is transferred to the Fellowship Fund where it continues to produce income to support TBP graduate fellowships.
Members are encouraged to purchase life subscriptions to The Bent and will be sent a copy of our quarterly magazine for life. Members with a $95 life subscription may choose to receive The Bent by mail, email, or both. Please keep your address and email updated with TBP.
New Member Credit
The initiation fee for each new member includes a 4-year subscription to The Bent. Up to your fourth year of membership, you may receive a partial credit for a life subscription. The sooner a new member purchases a life subscription (up to $12), the more credit will be applied toward the subscription cost. Call TBP HQ at 865/546-4578 or email TBP HQ to determine your available subscription credit.
Installment Plan
Members may choose to purchase a life subscription and pay over a four-year period. A service fee of $5 is added to the $95. Members may send a check for $25 and write "life subs" on the memo line and Tau Beta Pi will send an invoice for $25 for each of the next three years. You may also call or purchase an installment plan online.
Electronic Only Life Subscription
An electronic-only (no paper copy) life subscription is $45. The Bent will be delivered each quarter in PDF and DigiMag® (web-based) format. The new member credit is also available for the electronic-only subscriptions.
