Tau Beta Pi Program Directors
Every three years, the Executive Council is charged with appointing directors of various Association programs. The Council is seeking interested members to fill the positions of Director of Alumni Affairs, Director of the District Program, Director of Engineering Futures, Director of Fellowships, and Director of Rituals. Past experience and knowledge of the Association and its operations is desired.

There is no application form, but interested members should include a current resume and a letter stating the applicant's interest in the position, relevant past experience that would benefit the Association, and summary of ideas and vision for the position. Director of Alumni Affairs (description)
The position of Director of Alumni Affairs shall simulate and maintain alumni interest and support for Tau Beta Pi, encourage the formation and support the operation of alumni chapters, and represent the alumni at Convention and before the Executive Council. The individual in this position is tasked with working with our 44 active alumni chapters and coordinating with District Directors to involve alumni at District Conferences. The Director of Alumni Affairs is asked to travel 3-4 times per year.
Director of the District Program (description)
The position of Director of District Programs was established by the 1978 Convention after the District Program had been in experimental use for 3 years. The office was eliminated in 1991 when the Executive Council assumed oversight responsibility. The position has been re-established for a three-year trial period. The Director provides strategic and tactical leadership over the District Program and chairs the District Program Planning Committee. The Director of the District Program travels 4-5 times per year.
Director of Engineering Futures (description)
The position of Director of Engineering Futures manages the Engineering Futures Program including curriculum selection, identification of facilitators to present the curriculum, training and appraisal of facilitators, oversight of the session request and fulfillment, budget preparation and external fundraising efforts, and development of publicity information. Past experience as an Engineering Futures Facilitator is required. The successful candidate must be willing to travel 2-3 time per year.
Director of Fellowships (description)
The position of Director of Fellowships shall manage the Fellowship and Scholarship Programs of the Association. This includes chairing the five-member Fellowship Board that selects Fellowship and Scholarship recipients, recommending members to serve on the Fellowship Board, reviewing applicants, and preparing rules and regulations for the smooth operation of the Fellowship and Scholarship Programs. Past experience on the Tau Beta Pi Fellowship Board or on an equivalent selection committee is desired. The Director of Fellowships must be willing to travel 2-3 times per year.
Director of Rituals (description)
The position of Director of Rituals has custody of and cognizance over the form, phraseology, and physical make-up of the initiation ritual, receives and considers suggestions for changes, and, in general is responsible for all matters in connection with the rituals and the related ceremonies. The Director of Rituals maintains a master copy of the initiation ritual and prepares initiation equipment for new chapters. The Director of Rituals advises the Convention Rituals Committee and oversees the model initiation conducted at Convention. The Director of Rituals must be willing to travel 2-3 time per year.
