Teach For America's mission is to enlist our nation's most promising future leaders in the movement to expand educational opportunity for all students and to eliminate educational inequality.

We at Maryland Beta chapter of Tau Beta Pi strongly feel that serving our community is the most powerful way of giving back while sharing our passion for science and engineering. Our partnership with Teach For America in Prince George's County, Maryland has expanded our outreach to an enormously valuable group in our community- kids. Working with our campus Teach For America representative has given us a tremendous opportunity that would not have been possible otherwise; we implore other chapters of Tau Beta Pi to develop a relationship with their own Teach For America chapter to help inspire students to excel in the fields of engineering.
