Do not attempt to register online. This capability has not yet been set up for our recruiters.
Unless payment is received with registration, an invoice will automatically be sent upon receipt of registration.

Publicity and Recognition

All Convention sponsors and recruiters will be listed in the Convention program, the Winter 2007 issue of THE BENT (quarterly publication sent to 90,000 members), and the December 2006 issue of THE BULLETIN, which is published three times per year and distributed to all student members.

  • Website recognition:

All participants in the Recruiting Fair and sponsors of the Convention will be recognized on Tau Beta Pi’s website according to the level of sponsorship. Major level and above ($1,500 and above): Corporate logo with link to corporate website will appear on the Convention sponsorship website page. Upon payment of fees, please send a logo in JPG format to Pat McDaniel at pat@tbp.org.

All other sponsorship levels: Name with link to corporate website will appear.

  • Pre-Convention recruiting flyer:

All corporate and government recruiters may include their logo and a 100 word or less description of the organization in a flyer to be sent on August 11 to all students who plan to attend the Convention. Send a JPG logo and description to Pat McDaniel at pat@tbp.org by August 1. A listing of graduate school recruiters will also appear in the flyer.

  • Program recruiting ads:

All Major Sponsors and above ($1,500 and above) are entitled to an ad in the Convention program. Ads must be 5 ½” wide x 8 ½” tall, B/W, printer quality, ads in PDF format. (Bleed is acceptable.) Send to Pat McDaniel at pat@tbp.org no later than August 15!

 Recruiting Fair Itinerary

Thursday, October 5, 2006:

8:00 a.m.: Recruiters may begin to set up in the Ballroom Corridor on the lower level at the bottom of the escalators. Staff will begin to deliver pre-shipped displays from the holding area. Booth tables will be assigned and marked.
8:30 a.m.: Coffee and muffins will be served.
9:00 a.m.: Fair begins.
10:30 a.m.: Refreshments.
Noon: Boxed lunches will be served.
3:00 p.m.: Fair closes for students. Displays may be dismantled and prepared for shipping.

Fair Booths

Each booth will consist of an 8’x 8’ area against the outside walls of the Ballroom Corridor. Each booth will be furnished with one 6’x 3’ covered and skirted table, two chairs and an electrical outlet if needed. Please contact Pat McDaniel atpat@tbp.org for questions regarding electricity and A/V equipment.

Be sure the company name and “Tau Beta Pi Recruiting Fair” appears prominently on all boxes. The boxes will be delivered to your booth on the morning of the fair. Boxes should arrive no sooner than Monday, October 2. Please track your packages to ensure arrival at the hotel.

Shipping from Fair

Tau Beta Pi cannot be responsible for materials left at the fair. Please be sure your representatives ship materials at the end of the fair. Companies are responsible for shipping costs.

Catering

Coffee, tea, and muffins will be provided at 8:30 a.m., and beverages and snacks will be available from 10:30 a.m. until the close of the fair. A boxed lunch will be served at Noon. Please choose one from the following choices and email selection to pat@tbp.org by September 25.

  • #1) Grilled zucchini, portabella mushrooms, red pepper, artichokes, sprouts, and herbed cream cheese rolled in chipotle tortilla.
  • #2) B.L.T.T.A. – Bacon, lettuce, tomato, turkey, and avocado with tarragon ranch on sourdough baguette.
  • #3) Grilled chicken Caesar wrap with romaine lettuce rolled in herbed flatbread.

All box lunches include whole fruit, chips, cookie, and assortment of soft drinks.

Accommodations

Lodging arrangements and payment are the responsibility of the company representatives. However, if the representatives wish to stay at the Renaissance Denver, Tau Beta Pi can make the reservations at a discounted rate of $110/night, single occupancy. Contact Pat McDaniel at pat@tbp.org for reservations. If the hotel is full, we may have to move the representatives to an overflow hotel.

Airport Transportation

The Renaissance Denver provides a courtesy shuttle to and from the airport for registered guests.
