Eta Kappa Nu Centennial

Executive Director James D. Froula was Tau Beta Pi’s official representative to Eta Kappa Nu’s centennial celebration and banquet in the student union at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on October 23, 2004. The festive events were planned and led by Karl L. Martersteck, president, and Dr. Ronald A. Spanke, OK G ’80, executive director since 2000.

Mr. Froula offered Tau Beta Pi’s congratulations to the 218 banquet attenders and presented a commendation plaque to Eta Kappa Nu in appreciation for its century of encouraging excellence in electrical engineering. In turn, the electrical and computer engineering honor society presented an etched-glass memento, now on permanent display in the national Headquarters.

During the award ceremony, Matthew C. Rodrigue, ME A ’04 and 2004 Tau Beta Pi Laureate, and Matthew R. Behrend, CA D ’04, were each recognized as the 2004 Eta Kappa Nu outstanding student.
