Fulbright fellowships offered in Finland and Ireland

     The Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) and the Fulbright Commission in Finland needs applicants  for the 2002-2003 competition for the Fulbright-Nokia Fellowship in Finland.
    Specialty areas  include telecommunication or information  technology, or electronics.  Applicants must provide a letter of invitation with a host university in Finland to lecture in English and participate in collaborative research for four and one half or nine months, with a preferred starting date of September 2002.  Award benefits include free housing, travel for the grantee and one dependent, and a monthly stipend of approximately $2,600 for grantees with dependents.
    Applications are also being taken for the 2002-2003 award in Supply-Chain Engineering and Management at the Department of Process Engineering, University College Cork in Ireland.  Specialized areas include chemical or industrial engineering with experience in supply-chain engineering and management, as well as industry liaison experience.  This is a 10-month award, beginning in October 2002.  Award benefits are a flat-sum grant of $30,000.
    Application deadline is August 1, 2001. Applicants should be U.S. citizens and have college teaching experience.
