- November 19, 2007 - Congratulations to Tau Beta Pi Executive Councillor Dr. Jonathan F.K. Earle, P.E., FL A '65, one of the winners of the 2006 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM). Among the 10 individual awardees are two other Tau Bates, Ricardo B. Jacquez, NM A '71, and George C. Lee, NY N '55. We are proud of you!

- May 21, 2007 - TBP is approved for 2007 Combined Federal Campaign (workplace fund-raising drive conducted each Fall by Federal employees and military personnel). CFC raises millions to benefit thousands of non-profit charities and associations.

for 2007-08 and 135 Tau Beta Pi Scholars for 2007-08.
The total of this year's fellowship and scholarship awards is $440,000!
- March 28, 2007 - The Summer 2006 issue of The Bent has been selected as a winner in the 2007 American Inhouse

in the 2006 NewStand Resource cover contest.
- February 20, 2007 - Congratulations to Harold S. Goldberg, NY I '44, on being named as one of three recipients
of the
2007 Bernard M. Gordon Prize, awarded today. Mr. Golberg is being recognized by this National Academy of
Engineering award "for the development of a multi-disciplinary graduate program for engineering professionals
who have the potential and the desire to be engineering leaders."

- February 10, 2007 - The New York Upsilon Chapter at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY,

- February 7, 2007 - The Engineering Futures Program of Tau Beta Pi has won the American Society of
Engineering Education's Corporate Member Council
2007 Excellence in Engineering Education Collaboration Award. Tau Beta Pi President Dr. Larry A. Simonson,
P.E., accepted the award today at a luncheon held during the ASEE Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration
in Palm Springs, CA.

100th anniversary at the University of Michigan.

Bernard Amadei, a professor of civil engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder and founder
and president of Engineers Without Borders - USA, has agreed to deliver the
2006 Convention keynote address on October 5 in Denver, Colorado.
