Chapter Projects
Index (1995
Edition)
This Index contains a
listing of projects conducted by Tau Beta Pi chapters around the country.
You can use it to locate project ideas for your chapter. By browsing through
the project descriptions, you can find many ideas for local projects that
have been tried and proven by other chapters. After selecting one or more
topics from the listing, you may write or call Headquarters for a copy
of the complete project description(s). In this way the successes and
failures of other chapters can be brought to bear on local problems. Don't
re-invent the wheel, but instead benefit from the experience of other
chapters.
How Descriptions are Organized:
Projects are divided first
into four major categories:
Then, projects are classified
by type and assigned a letter. Within each letter designation, a sequential
number is assigned to identify individual projects. Finally, each project
is further identified by a letter code to indicate whether the project
was conducted by a small (S), medium (M), or large (L) chapter.
How to use this Index:
Begin by examining the
Classification Index to understand the different types of projects listed.
Once you have chosen a project type, refer to the appropriate section
of the Index. Read through the list of projects and decide which ones
are of interest. If you would like a complete description on one or more
projects, complete the form on our website. Your request will be filled
upon receipt. Project Request Sheets are available from Headquarters.
Annual Chapter Surveys
provide the project descriptions. A sample project report is included
for your reference. The amount and quality of material included in these
descriptions varies greatly. At a minimum, single sheets providing little
more than the project descriptions in this booklet are available. The
best, however, contain numerous pages describing in detail the procedures,
problems, and costs of the project including samples of all required correspondence,
forms, advertising copy, and other pertinent material. To help provide
a guideline for what is available, the Index lists the number of pages
in the project description. Happy reading.
