Tau Beta Pi Resume DVD for Convention Recruiting Fair

In response to corporate interest, Headquarters will compile a DVD containing resumes from student members who will be seeking employment after graduation. A copy of this DVD will be given to each company recruiting at the Convention’s recruiting fair to be held on Thursday, October 11, at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan. (List of participating companies and schools)

At previous Convention recruiting fairs, each Chapter president/voting delegate was asked to collect their chapter resumes on a disc, make copies for each recruiting company, and hand the disc to each recruiter. The number of companies participating has grown, making it more difficult for chapters to provide copies for all companies. Also, the recruiters have had to pack up boxes of discs to ship back, so having only one DVD would be preferable.

Please participate in this worthwhile project that will contribute to the growing popularity of this fair among corporate recruiters across the nation. This project also offers those students not attending the Convention a chance to place their resume in the hands of companies who very much want to hire Tau Bates.

Please follow these simple instructions:

  1. Collect MS Word document resumes of interested chapter members. Do not include resumes of those going on to graduate school.
  2. Sort resumes by curriculum and place each resume in a separate file for each curriculum. Name each file using the curriculum table below.
  3. Place the curriculum files in a master file. The name of this file will be your school’s name, not the name of your chapter.
  4. E-mail the file to Pat McDaniel at pat@tbp.org.
  5. Deadline to receive resume file is September 15, 2007.
  6. Files not in the proper format will be returned for correction.
  7. Thank you for participating!

You may also take your own resume to the fair and hand it to recruiters. Please contact Pat McDaniel if you have any questions.
